Sedentary Death Syndrome – Why we must Stand Taller to Live Longer

An article from the Wall Street Journal touts the importance of being active and improving posture, highlighting many of the same concepts taught in the StrongPostureTM protocols.

Clevelend Clinic’s medical director at the Center for Lifestyle Medicine, Mladen Golubic, stresses that sitting for long periods of time can lead to “Sedentary Death Syndrome.” says that the correlation between patients with chronic illness and those who spend a majority of their time sitting is astounding.

“There are studies on Sedentary Death Syndrome that show that sitting for hours can cause anything from lower back pain to high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity,” Golubic says in the interview.

The author of the article coins the term, “Sitting to Death.”
