You’re living longer…so stay healthy!
Lifespan and mortality statistics from the Society of Actuaries were updated this week, showing that longevity in the U.S. is increasing…especially for Baby Boomers.
For men who are now age 65, overall longevity rose 2.0 years! In other words, it rose from age 84.6 in 2000 to age 86.6 in 2014. For women age 65, overall longevity rose even more, going up 2.4 years, from age 86.4 in 2000 to age 88.8 in 2014!
Dr. W’s Observation: As these statistics talk about lifespan, Health Span becomes even more important. How long do you want to be healthy?
